Is this happening? Am I writing a blog? Looks like it, folks!
I am so excited to share my first local Indianapolis wedding with y'all (and by y'all I mean my mom because that is probably the only person in attendance right now, ha). Sara was a dream bride and looked absolutely stunning and timeless. She is the definition of low key and was such a breath of fresh air! I like when clients know what they want, but I also like when a bride gives me a few adjectives and says to run with it. The florals for this wedding were inspired by the invitation and Sara's desire for simplistic and pretty in her color palette. The bride's family are huge fans of Key West, FL. They travel there often and their love for that little slice of heaven shows. I wanted to incorporate airy greens with southern flare as a nod to a place that is so special to them (and me!). Did I mention BBQ? A couple that serves BBQ at their reception is a couple after my own heart! I also got to do the hand lettering for their chalkboards and had such a blast with that. Make sure you scroll down so that you don't miss the cute pups that were part of the wedding party. They got photographed with their very own bouquets!
Meeting the people that are most important in your life is such a highlight for me. This time it was Denise, Mother of the Bride, who is the sweetest lady and a joy to be around. Sara + Colin, thank you for letting me flower your day! A big shout out to James and Emily of Ivan & Louise Images. They are the cutest duo and take beautiful images!!
To have this first Indy wedding in the books and to look at these pictures and know all that it represents for me just means so much. They are more then just flowers, they are memories.
